About

BrabantStad is an alliance of five cities in the Province of Noord-Brabant, located in the south of the Netherlands. In 2001, these cities – Breda, Eindhoven, Helmond, ‘ s-Hertogenbosch and Tilburg – formed a network city together in order to achieve sustainable growth in the quality of life in the BrabantStad area, from economic, spatial, social and cultural points of view.

Collaboration within the network is focused on those issues the cities and the province are unable to realize on their own, but that are nonetheless considered to be necessary for the regional development.

BrabantStad is focusing administrational efforts on regional synergy, complementation rather than competition and creating a metropolitan environment on the scale of a network city. The urban network enables the realization of a level of facilities in infrastructure, education, housing, health care, culture and sports far exceeding the possibilities of each city individually.

BrabantStad is not only a network full of ambition. It is also an area of opportunities. It offers great opportunities for companies looking for a home base in Western Europe and a stepping-stone to Europe as a whole. BrabantStad is an active, highly industrialized region and one of the most knowledge-intensive areas in Europe. Here, foreign companies will find exactly what they need: a perfect position in Europe, an industrial environment that guarantees high-quality supplies, an infrastructure that enables efficient en cost-effective transport and a highly motivated and well-educated population with excellent language skills.
